Julie Rachel Isenhour Hampton, age 86, of Granite Falls passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Amorem Hospice. She was born July 4, 1938 in Caldwell County to the late Tarence H. Isenhour and Lucy Irene Mitcham Isenhour. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Cordes, Sr.; one daughter, Sherrie Garavaglia; one brother, Cleat "Skip" Isenhour; and one sister, Sheila Cannon.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Richard E. Cordes, Jr. of Burke County, and Darius Cordes of Caldwell County; one daughter, Tina Cordes (KathyDillard) of Wilkes County; one brother, Jake Icenhour (Priscilla) of Caldwell County; one sister, Joann Dula (Charles) of Caldwell County; four grandchildren, Carson Cordes (Alexis Huff), Candice Schronce (Caleb), Joseph Garavaglia, and Chrissy Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 11:00 A.M. at Sunrise Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Wright and Rev. Ed Warren officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carson Cordes, Caleb Schronce, Roger Swanson, Chad Walker, Chucky Dula, John Davis, and Mark Lewis.
