Mrs. Katherine "Marie" Sutton Greene, age 69, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at her home.

Born November 29, 1955 in Caldwell County, Marie was a daughter of the late Dave and Lola Nelson Sutton.  Marie spent many years working in the furniture industry.  She enjoyed playing games on her phone, doing her nails and spending time with family and friends.  In addition to her parents, she was also proceeded in death by her son, Benji Sutton; a brother, Garret Sutton.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie Hatton (Husband Shannon); a brother, J.B. Sutton; three sisters, Cris Coffey (Husband J.D.), Levaunda Sutton and Joni Banner (Husband Terrence); three grandchildren, Caleb Sutton, Cooper Hatton and Dillon Benge; a special friend, Mandy Laws; she is also survived by her many friends at Koinonia and numerous other relatives.

The family will have a receiving of friends on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
