Kathy Louise Lee Dotson, age 66, of Granite Falls, North Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 7, 2026.
Kathy was born on August 31, 1960 in Clinton, South Carolina to the late Walter and Mildred Lee.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ed Lee and wife Juanita Lee, Fred Lee, Rufus Lee, and Larry Lee; sister, Jeanette Mayes; and sister in law, Linda Lee, wife of Tony Lee.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Dotson; son, Kenny Bo Dotson and wife Tyra; daughter, Angie McDevitt and husband Bryan; brother, Tony Lee; sisters, Marie Pipes and husband Billy, and Betty Kaylor and husband Robert; grandchildren, Parker Edwards and wife Autum, Kade McDevitt, Savanna Dotson, Chloe Dotson, Cooper Dotson, and Kylee Dotson; great-grandchildren, Thea Edwards and Ranger Edwards; In-Laws, Deborah Dotson and Darian Dotson and wife Kristy; and beloved fur baby, CoCo.
Kathy was a kind, loving, and generous soul. She knew the Lord and loved Jesus. The family takes comfort in knowing that she is safely home. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family and they loved her just as much. She was selfless and always giving to anyone in need without ever asking for anything in return.
A memorial service to honor the life of Kathy Dotson will be held at Crossroads Community Church on Thursday, September 10th, 2026 at 6:00PM with Reverend Rick Bowman officiating.
The family will receive vistors one hour prior to the service staring at 5:00PM at the church.
Kathy loved flowers, and the family requests that any flowers be sent to Crossroads Community Church.
