Kathy Sherrill Kincaid Keck, age 70, of Lenoir, NC went home to her Lord and Savior on October 26, 2024.
She was born April 27, 1954 in Caldwell County to the late Hal William Sherrill and Mary Sherrill Kincaid. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen and Gary Sherrill and her husband of 39 years, William Dumont Keck.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children, son, William Christopher Keck of Nashville, Tennessee; and daughters, Jennifer Keck Donnell (Mark) of Aldie, Virginia; Sarah Keck Bruns (Hunter) of Valdese; 7 beautiful grandchildren, Oliver, Charlotte and Ruby Donnell, Luke, Hadley, Ava and Boone Bruns; and her beloved cat, Precious.
Kathy was an incredible musician and proudly played in the Lenoir High School Band under Captain James C. Harper as a flutist and second chair piccolo soloist. She continued to play as a member of the Lenoir Community Band and Blue Ridge Winds. In her downtime, Kathy could be found sewing and crocheting, making quilts, blankets, headbands, scarves and more for those she loved.
Kathy served her community well, working for 23 years at Caldwell County DSS before her retirement in 2016. She then went to work as the Missions Administration Assistant at First Baptist Church of Lenoir. Kathy was also a member of FBC Lenoir and sang in the choir.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, November 16th, 2024 at 12:30 at First Baptist Church of Lenoir, with Pastor Josh Hughes officiating.
The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service from 12:00-12:30 at the church.
