Kim Tannynia Stitt, age 66, of Morganton passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 14, 2026. She was born May 18, 1959 in Franklin, NC to Ruby McKinney Stitt and the late Harold Stitt. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sassha Aquonne Stitt.

Those left to cherish her memory in addition to her mother include her daughter, Sassha Jalai Stitt and partner Edward Stradford; two brothers, Robert Stitt and Damon Stitt and partner Denise; two sisters, Dawn McDonald and husband Darren and Anne Stitt; two nephews, Anthony Stitt and Gavin McDonald; her beloved bonus grandchildren, Xavier Brandon, Marsha Springs and family, Chloe and Emma Braswell; a host of beloved friends and extended family; and her faithful companion, her dog Sox.
