Kitty Lee Whisnant Royal, born April 30, 1964, to Delphia Lee Dellinger Whisnant and Richard "Dick" Whisnant Sr., passed away at her home on October 22, 2026.

She is survived by Kenneth Joe Royal, Dewey Ray Royal, Frances Elizabeth Moon, and Eugene Dellinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Ray Royal; and family members David Dellinger, Jesse Whisnant Sr., Richard Whisnant Sr., Mark Whisnant, Dickie Allen Whisnant, Mary Ellen Dellinger, Betty Jo Whisnant Crisp, Delphia Renea Whisnant Sumter, Patty Jean Whisnant, Jordan Whisnant, Jacy Whisnant, Jesse Whisnant Jr., Charles Crisp II, and Mike Joseph Whisnant.

Kitty had a loving nature and a kind heart. She cared deeply for people and had a special compassion for stray animals, always wanting to help those in need. Those who remember her cooking in earlier years know what a wonderful cook she was.

Her family will miss her laughter, her voice, and the kindness she shared with those around her. Most of all, she will be missed simply for being Kitty.
