Larry Dean Deal of Hudson went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, January 30th, 2026 at Amorem-Robbins Center after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born July 9th, 1966 in Burke County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Mary Watson of Lenoir. In addition to being a wonderful husband and brother, he worked as an upholsterer at Hickory Chair with many cherished friends.

Survivors include his devoted wife Brenda of the home, sister Amy Bush & husband Wesley of Lenoir, sister Janet Aiken & husband Chris of Hudson, step-sister Anita Watson of Boone, aunt Marge Holt of Tennessee, in-laws Donna Smith, Tina Smith, Kim Dingler, and Donnie Smith all of Ohio, many nieces & nephews, and great nieces & great nephews. His precious smile, infectious laughter, and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, February 7th, 2026 from 11:00-12:00 at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church in Hudson. A celebration of life will follow at 12 with Pastor Darren Patterson officiating.
