Larry Dewitt Suddreth, age 83, of Hudson passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 in Granite Falls. He was born January 17, 1943 in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Ray and Geneva Presnell Suddreth.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Poarch Suddreth and daughter, Alicia Hilton.

Those left to cherish his memory include a Son, Paige Suddreth (Michelle); Daughter, Tiffany Smith (Alan); Step-son, Israel Taylor; Son-in-law, Kip Hilton; Grandchildren, Kolt Hilton, Alexis Buchanan (Adam), Karson Hilton (Sydney), Koby Hilton, Jennifer Coffey (Dustin), Jarrett Suddreth, Reagan Guess (Carl), and Luke Smith;  Step-grandchildren, Kayla Patton (Matt) and Josh Greene (Heather); Brother, Sherwin Suddreth; Nephew, Geoffrey Suddreth (Heather); Niece, Kristen Sanservino; Six Great-grandchildren and two Step-great-grandchildren.

Larry was an avid fisherman.  He also enjoyed playing golf and basketball.  He was a member of a bowling league and was a huge fan of the Dodgers and Carolina Tarheels.  But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.  He will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held Hillcrest Baptist Church on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ken Poarch and Rev. Joe Barrett officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the church.

Interment will follow at Rocky Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Collettsville.

Pallbearers will be: Kolt Hilton, Karson Hilton, Koby Hilton, Luke Smith, Jarrett Suddreth, and Josh Greene.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amorem, 902 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
