Laura Eve O'Donnell, age 66, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

Laura was born on May 6, 1958 to the late Bernard James O'Donnell and Emma Louise Chattle in Sussex County, New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William O'Donnell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dwayne Richmond; children, Jennifer Flint (Ryan McElyea), William Wyrosdick, and Samantha Starnes (Robert); sister, Karen Burroughs; grandchildren, PJ Flint, Carter McElyea, Ryder McElyea, Cooper McElyea, Robbie Wyrosdick, Clayton Starnes, and Bryson Starnes.

Laura was a wonderful, loving, and giving mother, wife, and Nana with a heart of gold. Her family and grandchildren were her main priority. She was an artist, who loved working with stained glass. Laura fought a courageous battle against lung cancer and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Rev. A.E. Shell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
