Lena Mae Sherrill Barlow, age 92, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Amorem Hospice. She was born July 2, 1933 in Caldwell County to the late Guy F. Sherrill and Pearl Perry Sherrill. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, F. Dermont Barlow; one son, Neal Barlowe; and one brother, Wayne Sherrill.

Mrs. Barlow was a faithful member of Hudson First Baptist Church; a member of Ruth and Andy McFarland's Sunday School Classes; and an active member of the WMU and WHO groups.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Stephen D. Barlow and wife Debbie; one daughter, Charlene Barlow Helderman and husband Larry; one twin sister, Lois Sherrill Teeters; four grandchildren, Anita Helderman Melton and husband Scott, Richard David Helderman and wife Thea, David Barlowe and wife Hannah, and Carrie Tutka and husband Patrick; six great-grandchildren, Jordan Melton, Wesley Melton, Finley Barlowe, Haddie Barlowe, Maddie Barlowe, and John Tutka; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and caregiver, Kay Madison.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Hudson First Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Dellinger officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Sardis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
