Leonard James Turner, age 73, born October 14,1951 went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 13, 2025 after a brief illness. He was of the Christian faith. He loved spending time with grandkids and great grandkids and loved giving them candies and fruits. He retired from Drexel Heritage Plant 7 after many years of service. He was a wonderful Daddy, PawPaw, Pappy, Happy, brother and friend. He will be missed immensely.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Edna Buchanan Turner and Vernon Turner; and a sister, Sherry Barrett.

He is survived by three children, Wesley Turner (Amy), Regina Lofton, Kelli Turner; 6 grandchildren, Josh Turner (Delana), Jacob Turner (Rebekah), Destiny Ericson (Tyler), Carl Ericson II (Nora), India Pearson (Zack), Jaden Rambarran; 8 great grandchildren, Taylen, Zage, Olivia, Cassie, Oliver, Colt, Case and Micah; sisters, Anita Hughes and Elaine Guzman (Ramon); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:30 P.M. at Covenant Baptist Church in Granite Falls with Rev. Tony Greer officiating.

Family and friends will be received a half hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:30 P.M. at the church.
