Leslie Gail White Smith, age 81, of Lenoir passed away Monday, April 7, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 12, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to the late Victor White and Jessie Mae McRary White.

Mrs. Smith was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Oakhill High School class of 1961 where she was proud to be named in all conference basketball. Prior to retirement Leslie was employed by Wilkie Construction for over 40 years. Outside of her career, she was known for her incredible seamstress skills and her love of crafting.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 60 years, Larry Allen Smith; one son, Darin Smith and wife Julie; three sisters, Wanda White Moffett, Marcelle White Bost (Joe), and Vicki "Rogene" Jones (Bill Streets); one beloved granddaughter, Katie Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Robinette officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church.
