Lewis Edward McGlothlin, Sr., age 83, of Granite Falls passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Trinity Ridge. He was born January 12, 1942 in Tazewell County, Virginia to the late Billy Jack McGlothlin and Jo Ella Owens McGlothlin. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one great-grandson, Tyler Bowman.

Mr. McGlothlin was a truck driver for Carolina Containers for 42 years until his retirement.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 64 years, Nannie Pearl Musick McGlothlin; one son, Lewis Edward McGlothlin, Jr. of Granite Falls; one daughter, Barbara Gail Brown (Lonnie) of Valdese; two brothers, Claude L. McGlothlin and Billy J. McGlothlin (Beth), all of Virginia; two sisters, Frances E. Sawyer (Herman) and Edna Cathy Scott, all of Virginia; four grandchildren, Carissa Brown (Josh), Adam Brown (Morgan), Sarah Taylor (Steven), and Ethan Brown (Kaylee); six great-grandchildren, Abel Brown, Claira Brooks, Cylas Brown. Everlee Brown, Esther Brown, and Montgomery Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia.
