Linda Keever Carter, age 76, of Hudson passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Amorem Hospice. She was born January 29, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late Dan Keever and Annie Day. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Charles Keever and Thad Keever; and six sisters, Mary Morrison, Betty Childers, Helen Rice, Brenda Younce, Peggy Elliott, and Fran Staten.

Those left surviving include her husband, James Carter of the home; one son, Shannon Cochran; stepchildren, Carol Atkins and Jonathan Carter; three grandchildren, 1st Sergeant Kirk Herman, Senior Airman Kyle Herman, and Kameron Atkins; four great-grandchildren, Carter, Alex, Kayleigh, and Thomas Herman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Granite Falls conducted by Rev. Jay Worsley and Rev. Doug Cox. Interment will immediately follow at Worship Point Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Herman, Kirk Herman, James Clark, Larry Knight, Phil Shaws, and Jerry Bumgarner.
