Linda Laws Bentley, 84, of Hendersonville, passed away in Asheville on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Born February 15, 1942, in Caldwell County to the late Millard and Hazel Laws. She was a lifelong resident of Caldwell County and a devoted Christian, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Hudson, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Rocky" Junior Bentley; daughter, Michelle Bentley Sanders; granddaughter, Kayla Victoria Sanders; and brothers Max, Steve, and Terry Laws. Survivors include her son, Michael (Karen) Bentley; son-in-law Doug Sanders; siblings Kathy (David) McCord, Larry Laws, Jerrell (Lynn) Laws, Buddy Laws (Wanda), and Randy (Gwen) Laws; grandchildren Heather (Jimmy)Beatty and Lauren (Kaleb) Gooden; and great-grandchildren Theodore, Dean, and Lucy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time with her family who lovingly called her "Granny Faye".
A funeral service to honor the life of Linda Laws Bentley will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 2:00PM at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Zack Kennedy, Reverend Stephen Owen, and Reverend Randy McCall officiating.
A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.
Burial will take place at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to TerraBella Hendersonville and Solace Hospice Center for the compassion, love, and care shown to Linda and her family. The staff at TerraBella made her final year a blessing, and Solace Hospice brought comfort and peace during her last week. Your kindness and support touched Linda's life and the lives of her family in a deeply meaningful way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Music Ministry or the Senior Adult Ministry of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
