Linda Jean Presnell Roberts, age 83, of Hudson, NC died on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Linda was born on February 5, 1942 in Caldwell County, NC to the late Hal and Rose Presnell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Preston Presnell; sister, Hallie "Trudy" Presnell; brothers-in-law, Marcus Roberts and James Roberts; sisters-in-law, Helen Watson, Inez Morrison, and Patricia Holt; and friends, Judy Stafford and Judy Brigham.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 62 years, Basil Roberts; son, Phillip Roberts (Erin); daughter, Julie Roberts; brother-in-law, Kenneth Roberts; sister-in-law, Theresa Barlow; a host of nieces and nephews; and fur baby, Tom.

Linda was a member of Mt. Herman United Methodist Church. She was very faithful to her church, and very active there as well. She coordinated Bible school, sang in the choir, made many Chrismon ornaments for the Chrismon tree, and was a member of the United Methodist Women.

Linda started the "Lunch Bunch" and loved to visit with others. She enjoyed surfing the web and naps. She loved shopping and collecting antiques. She also loved genealogy and spent time researching her family tree and ancestors.

Linda was a graduate of Happy Valley High school, and she was a hard worker. She worked for Southern Bell, Broyhill, and the Caldwell County School System. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Amorem Hospice.

A funeral service to honor the life of Linda Roberts will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 2:00PM at Mt. Herman United Methodist Church with Reverend Tracy Love officiating.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.
