Lola Shatley Everhardt, age 88, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Lola was born on May 8, 1936 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late William Shatley and Bessie Setzer Shatley.

Lola enjoyed westerns and loved watching John Wayne perform. She was a lover of embroidery, and her cross stitching was next to none. Most importantly, she loved her family, and they adored her right back. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Everhardt; brothers, Bueford Shatley, Bill Shatley, Paul Shatley, and Jacob Shatley; and sisters, Shirley Gilbert and Mary Shew.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Ricky Eller (Kendra Triplett); daughters, Christy Poarch (Joe Poarch) and Nicole Eller (Denver Kerley); brothers, Samuel Shatley (Patty Shatley) and Larry Shatley; sister, Nancy Deal; and three grandchildren, Josie Poarch,  Sawyer Poarch and Scout Eller.

A funeral service to honor the life of Lola Everhardt will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 2:00PM at Nazareth Advent Christian Church with the Reverend Gary Shew officiating.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the church.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Nazareth Advent Christian Church Cemetery.
