Loretta Melton Hartley, age 77, of Lenoir passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at her residence. She was born January 15, 1947 in Caldwell County to the late John M. Melton and Arletha Valentine Melton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronard Hartley; brother, JC Melton and an infant brother, Raymond Melton; sisters, Betty Richards, Dot Whisnant, and an infant sister, Eugena Melton.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Chad Hartley (Eric Delos Santos) of Seattle, WA; one daughter, Tracy Enloe (Mike) of Lenoir; one brother, Kenneth Melton (Lynda) of Lenoir; one sister, Phyllis Earp of Lenoir; one grandson, Garrett Morris; two step-grandsons, Luke Enloe and Ben Enloe (Taylor); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Yadkin Baptist Church with Rev. Stuart White, Rev. Robert Livingston, and Rev. Jim Hamby officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Morris, Brian McGee, Kevin Barlow, Bryan Melton, Lance Melton, and Chris Church.
