Ruby Louise Laws Staton, age 84, of Lenoir passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at her residence.

She was born September 16, 1938 to the late Charles Fritz Laws and Sophia Kathryn Hartley in Caldwell County.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Bruce Staton.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Darren Staton; daughter, Lisa S. Triplett (Ken); brothers, David Laws, Fred Laws (Rachel), and Lloyd Laws (Anita); sisters, Juanita Pritchard (Clayton) and Imogene Adkins; grandchildren, Aaron Triplett and Alex Triplett; great grandchild, Sophie Triplett; and beloved fur baby, Gracie.

Louise was a charter member and former president of the American Business Women's Association. She was also active in the scholarship committee.  She was also a member of Hudson First Baptist Church and held many leadership positions.

Memorial service will be Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Hudson First Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Jim Hamby officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the church.
