Lula Mae Pipes Bryant, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

Lula was born on May 1, 1931 to the late Guy Pipes and Willie Kaylor Pipes in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, J.B. Bryant; brother, Bennie Pipes, and the mother of her grandchildren, Linda Sifford.

Those left to cherish Lula's memory include her son, James Pipes; grandchildren, Brian Pipes and Jennifer Frank (Gustavo); grandchildren, Chelsea Pipes, Carolina Frank, and Nico Frank; honorary daughter, Connie Watson; her best friend, Flaxen "Mouse" Brookshire-Reid; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lula worked at Roses until it closed. She then went to work at Grand Manor until the age of 78. Lula's family meant everything to her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She welcomed people into her family with no hesitation and was one of the most generous women a person could ever meet. She spoiled her family. Lula was very hard working, in addition to her jobs she took care of loved ones. She made the best biscuits, and she would do anything in the world for anyone. Her great-grandchild will remember her beautiful blue eyes for the rest of her life, eyes filled with love. Lula was devoted to her faith and read her Bible every morning. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service to honor Lula's life will be held on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at 11AM at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Reverend Tony Harris officiating.
