Mrs. Margaret Maltba Livingston, age 93, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 in her home.

Margaret was born on October 11, 1930 in Caldwell County, NC. She was born to the late Ralph Maltba and Beulah Howell Jolley.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Livingston Jr.; son Dennis E. Livingston; and brother, Stewart Maltba.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Karen Costabile (Ernie), Sherry Wheatley (Jerry), and Marilyn McLean; brother, Roger Maltba (Debbie); sisters-in-law, Nancy McDonald and Ruth Livingston; grandchildren, Amy Walker, Scott Wheatley and wife Amy, Matthew Wheatley and wife Julie, Chris McLean and wife Whitney, Charla Livingston, Ashley Livingston, and Misty Livingston; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many loving family members and wonderful caregivers.

Margaret was a strong willed woman who was loved very much. She was hard working and cared for her husband for many years until his passing. Margaret was affectionately nicknamed Moe.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Margaret Maltba Livingston will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Union Baptist Church at 2pm with Reverend Mark Robinette officiating.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service from 1pm-2pm at the church.
