Un velorio para María se llevará a cabo el viernes 26 de enero de 2024, de 6 pm a 10 pm en la Iglesia Catolica de San Francisco de Asis, en Lenoir.

Una Misa funeraria para María se llevará a cabo el sábado 27 de enero de 2024 a las 11 am, con el Padre José Enrique González Gaytán oficiando.

La familia recibirá visitantes el viernes por la noche y una hora antes del servicio fúnebre en la iglesia de 10 am a 11 am.

Maria Guadalupe Torres Diaz, age 69, of Hudson, NC passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2024 in her home.

Maria was born to Dionisio Torres and Marina Diaz on November 2nd, 1954 in Jalisco, Mexico.

Those left to cherish her memory include 8 children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many loving relatives.

Maria, a loving woman with a big heart, welcomed everyone into her home without exception. She readily assisted anyone in need. Maria's love extended to her passion for cooking, ensuring everyone was well-fed at any hour. Maria could have hosted her own cooking show. She leaves behind many cherished recipes for her family, featuring her two secret ingredients: love and garlic. Always grateful, she prayed for everyone she met. If you saw her, she had a blessing for you.

A wake for Maria will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 6pm-10pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, In Lenoir.

A funeral service will be held for Maria on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11am, with Father Jose Enrique Gonzalez Gaytán officiating.

The family will receive visitors on Friday evening and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church from 10am-11am.
