Marvin Wesley McCaskill, age 64, of Lenoir passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at The Solace Center of Asheville. He was born January 2, 1959 in Catawba County to the late Lee Ellen Mashburn Bumgarner. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Bobby McCaskill; and his step-father, Bob Bumgarner.

Those left to cherish his memory include one brother, Jimmy Dean McCaskill of Lenoir; sister-in-law, Karen McCaskill of Hudson; and two beloved nieces, Christina McCaskill and fiancé Patrick, and Chanda Schwartz and husband Eric.

Memorial services will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Josh Lail. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Caldwell County Humane Society at P.O. Box 1991, Lenoir, NC  28645.
