Mary Frances Haigler Craig left her earthly home on Sunday, January 21st. Frances was born on July 30, 1932 to Mary Goble Haigler and Walter Haigler. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. Frances was very active at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hudson. She loved her church family, her community, and cherished all her friendships. She was a bright light in this world and deeply loved. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Craig, her son, Rusty Craig, grandson Matthew Clark, and five sisters.
She is survived by her son, Neal Craig, daughters, Mary Fredean Craig Goure, Renae Clark and husband James, daughter in law, Sherry Williams Craig, and grandchildren, Maggie Handest and husband Josh, Shea Bolick and husband Ritch, Thomas Clark and wife Idalia, Lindsay Bolick and husband Kasey, and Caleb Craig. Frances had 11 great grandchildren, Griffen Bolick, Will Bolick, Alex Handest, Miles Handest, Zach Bolick, Cooper Bolick, Jayco Castro, Carol Castro, Jordyn Bolick, Nefy Castro, Jakelin Lopez and husband Selvin. She adored her two great great granddaughters, Evolette and Alana. Surviving siblings include Martha Hamby, Patricia Kirby, Walter Haigler and James Haigler, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 352 Central Street, Hudson, NC or the Education Foundation of Caldwell County at 1914 Hickory Blvd. Lenoir., NC
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at St. John's Lutheran church in Hudson at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 in the church fellowship hall.
