Mary Sue Underdown McGuire, age 93, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born November 23, 1930 in Caldwell County to the late Arthur Lee Underdown and Bertha Ann Elizabeth Kincaid Underdown. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard McGuire; numerous brothers and sisters; one daughter, Teresa McGuire; and one granddaughter, Crystal McGuire.

Those left surviving include three daughters, Sharon Powell of Lenoir, Debra Kaylor and husband Eddie of Granite Falls; and Kathy McGuire of Lenoir; one son, Tracy McGuire and wife Lisa of Lenoir; one sister, Reba Huffman of Hickory; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside services will be private.
