Mary Alice Wallis Walker, age 69, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 after a two-year battle with bile duct cancer. She was born April 5, 1955 in Wake County to the late J.B. Wallis and Clara Gardner Wallis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Richard Wallis.

Mrs. Walker was a true Wolfpack fan and alumni.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Gregory Brian Walker, of the home; two sons, Drew Walker and Cody Walker, both of Atlanta; one daughter, Cassidy Walker; three sisters, Ann Wallis and Linda Stell of Greensboro, and Janet Wallis of Wilmington; two brothers, Jack Wallis of Hawaii, and Jimmy Wallis of Montana; three grandchildren, Olivia, Jack, and Lucy. and numerous extended family and beloved friends.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mary Alice will be held, Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Hinman and Rev. Todd Braswell officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
