Melanie Kirby Hampton, age 70, of Granite Falls, North Carolina went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Melanie was born on April 8, 1956 in Burke County, North Carolina to the late Homer and Faye Kirby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James Hampton; son, Cody Hampton; daughters, Seanna Hampton, Whitney Hampton, and Jodi Greene; brother, Gene Kirby; and grandchildren, Emma Townsend, Corbin Church, Maddox Church, Ares Hampton, Charles Greene, Dawson Greene, Randal Armer Jr. and Emerie Hampton.

A memorial service to honor the life of Melanie Hampton will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:00am at Union Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Sam Craven officiating.

Burial will immediately follow the service at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the library fund at Union Grove Baptist Church.
