Melissa Kim Huffman Patterson, age 45, left this world on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Melissa was born on May 18, 1981 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late Ricky and Barbara Huffman. She was a loving person who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Julia Patrick.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Madison Patterson of Hiddenite, NC, Joy Patterson of Hiddenite, NC, and Angel Patrick of Valdese, NC; brother, Roy Guy (Kasey) of Lenoir, NC; sister, Tracy Ward of Michigan; 3 grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

A Celebration of Life to honor Melissa Patterson will be held at a later date.
