Michelle Hockin Moore, age 64, of Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Born on March 5, 1962, Michelle was the beloved daughter of Brenda Hockin and the late Willard Hockin. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hockin.

Michelle will be lovingly remembered by those who knew her best, including her son, Michael Willet and his wife, Karin; her mother, Brenda Hockin; her cousin, Brenda Jensen; and her companion, Lanny.

Michelle had a gentle and warm spirit that touched everyone she met. She found great joy in simple, creative pleasures—spending hours making candles, working on arts and crafts, and expressing her creativity in ways that brought comfort and beauty to those around her. She also had a special love for cats, caring for them with tenderness and affection.

With her sweet demeanor, Michelle had a way of making others feel welcome and valued. She will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to honor Michelle's life will be held at a later date.
