Mikeal Dwayne Harrison, age 73, of Hickory passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at his residence. He was born July 3, 1950 in Caldwell County to the late Claude Harrison and Ruth Mikeal Harrison. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Danny Joe Harrison; one sister, Scottie Jane Stephenson: and one niece Melba Rena Harrison.

Those left behind include his beloved dog, Chance; two brothers, James Lorance Harrison of Gamewell, and Isaac Melvin Harrison and wife Patsy of Lenoir; two sisters, Patricia Helen Harrison of Lenoir, and Becky Ann Woods and husband Ronnie of Baton; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and beloved friends and neighbors.

Mikeal had devoted his life to the service of others as the director of environmental health at three senior living facilities in the Hickory area. He was passionate about providing only the best services, and did so at Trinity Village for 25+ years.

Mikeal enjoyed walking through his neighborhood, and speaking with the many friends that surrounded him. He had a love for a good thrift store find. As well as photographing his world travels. Mikeal had a gift for decorating, especially during the Christmas season.

Mikeal loved to host gatherings at his home for his beloved neighbors. To allow his neighbors to honor his memory, a gathering will be held at Mikeal's home, at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Trinity Village.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the memorial service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Trinity Village.
