Obituary

Misty Leigh Shook 47, of Granite Falls, NC died unexpectedly on August 01, 2023 from injuries when a vehicle collided into the rear of her vehicle.  Her loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Misty was born on June 08, 1976 to Gail Francum Early, deceased and Tony Ralph Shook of  Hudson, NC.

She is survived by her sons; Andreaz Almanza, Justin Romero, and Adam Romero of the home and also her fiancé Thomas Laws and son Dylan Laws. She is also survived by JB Myers Jr. (Cathy) whom she loved as a father and he loved her as his daughter. Her sisters;  Kim (Billy ) Robbins of  Granite Falls, Emily (Austen) Jud of Hudson, Ashley Eckard of Severance, CO. Her brothers; Logan (Kristen) Shook of Hickory, Landon Shook of Charlotte and Cody Myers of Hudson. Misty was blessed with eleven nephews, three nieces, and two great nieces and one great nephew. Anyone who knew Misty, knew that she would do anything she could for you.  She loved her sons, family, and friends. She always had a beautiful smile and a kind word to share. She was a caregiver for twenty three years and loved and cared for her patients as if they were her own family. Misty's family and friends will miss her more than words can say.

Contributions in memory of Misty can be made to Go Fund Me account set up by Ashley Eckard to help her sons. There will be a service led by Pastor Keith Rose held at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home in Lenoir. Please join us as we celebrate her life with Heavenly love and loving support of her sons. On Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
