Neddie "Ned" Melvin Hatton, age 76, of Lenoir passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Lenoir Health Care. He was born April 16, 1948 in Caldwell County to the late William Hatton and Occie Pipes Hatton. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Ronda Hatton.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Shannon Hatton and wife Angie of Lenoir; and Aaron Hatton of Granite Falls; one daughter, Wendy "Pooh" Williams and husband David of Hudson; five beloved grandchildren, Kaleigh "PC" Hatton, Smith Hatton, Cooper Hatton, Charlie Hatton, and Layla Allen; and the mother of his children, Diana Berry Hatton-Arnold.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Goode officiating.
