Nola Imogene Price Reese, 87, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born August 22, 1936, in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late Dorothy Mary Lewis Price and William Verner Price. Mrs. Reese was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Gail Reese Wallace and her husband of over 60 years, Burl James Reese; sister, Iva Lee Miller; and brothers, Ralph Price and Burl Price.
Mrs. Reese had worked at Broyhill Furniture, Cellu Products, and CCATS in Lenoir prior to retiring. She was a loving and devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devoted Christian and Baptist. She loved to write songs and stories, play on her laptop and watch gospel and country videos on YouTube on her TV.
Survivors include one daughter Tracy Dawn Reese Watson and her husband Michael "Weezie" Watson; one son, Joel "J.C." Reese of Granite Falls and son-in law Garry Wallace of Greenville, Tennessee. She is also survived by three sisters: Ira Wanna Stewart and Anlue Price of Mountain City, Tennessee and Vergia Wallace of Lenoir. The surviving brothers are Earl Price of Mountain City, Tennessee and Norman Price of Creston, N.C.
Nola loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. Grandchildren are Jonathan Wallace of Fort Riley, Kansas, Jacob Wallace of Lenoir, Michelle Bentley and Christopher Watson of Lenoir. Great grandchildren are Sarah and Skylar Wallace, Brianna and MaKenze Wallace, Haley, Harley, and Noah Bentley, and Emersyn and Kennedi Wallace.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Watson, Garry Wallace, Jacob Wallace, Chris Watson, Dusty Bentley and Archie Wallace.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend William K. "Bill" Neely officiating.
Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
