Nora "Willistine" Gragg Murphy, age 78, of Lenoir passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023. She was born November 17, 1944 in Caldwell County to the late Milton and Ruby Byers Gragg. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, George Murphy.

Those left surviving include one son, Paige Suddreth and wife Michelle of Collettsville; two daughters, Alicia Hilton and husband Kip of Grace Chapel, and Tiffany Smith and husband Alan of Hudson; two brothers, Robert Gragg and wife Jean, and Larry Gragg and wife Marilyn, all of Globe, NC; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Miller Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Steven Parker. Interment will immediately follow at Whitnel First Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the church.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kolt Hilton, Karson Hilton, Koby Hilton, Luke Smith, Josh Greene, and Jarrett Suddreth.

The family would like to sincerely thank the numerous friends and family who assisted in caring for Mrs. Murphy.
