Odis Larry Knight, of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away on October 18, 2025, at his residence, at the age of 71. Born on January 23, 1954, in Lenoir, North Carolina, Odis lived a life rooted in family, hard work, and the simple joys of the outdoors.

Odis retired from Chase Corporations (NEPTCO), where he dedicated many years of service. His work ethic and commitment were hallmarks of his professional life, but it was his role as a family man that truly defined him.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Glenda Knight, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and shared experiences. Odis was a devoted father to his daughters, Dreama Knight and April Knight, and a proud pawpaw to his grandchildren: Jocelyn Knight (Blaze Butron), Jasmine Philyaw, Jaylea Philyaw, Alexis Felder (Jarrett Coffey), Jackson Felder, Jadon Philyaw, Carter Felder. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Asher Burton, Raiden Burton, and Stormie Buitron.

He is also survived by his brother Jimmy Knight and sister Dianna Coffey (Terry Coffey). Odis held close the memory of those who passed before him: his mother Mary "Kay" Bryant, Father Odis Knight, stepfather Bill Bryant, mother-in-law Nona Kirby, brother Joey Bryant, and beloved fur baby "Scooter."

Larry found joy in the outdoors—whether casting a line on a quiet lake or tracking deer through the woods. He cherished watching his grandchildren play sports and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Above all else, he treasured time spent with family and especially with his "lovey" wife.

His faithful companions Molly and Cage were always by his side, offering comfort and companionship in every season of life.

Odis Larry Knight will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and strength in the days ahead.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. at Living Hope Church, 1890 Connelly Springs Road, Lenoir, NC 28645.
