Pamela Sue Kirby Houck, age 74, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 28, 1951 in Buncombe County to the late Shuford and Helen Crisp Kirby. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Lyle Kirby and Creig Kirby.

Pam was one of the sweetest women and made everyone feel loved and welcomed. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved them fiercely. She attended Mulvale Baptist Church in Collettsville. She was Treasurer of Foothills Outdoorsman Association. She retired from Fairfield Chair Company after many years of service.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Ronald Deal Houck of the home; children, Juanita Pilkenton (Darian), LaRae Shell (Calvin), and Cory Houck (Dawn); eight beloved grandchildren, Kaeli Resendiz (Quentin), Haven Ward (Nathan), Deuce Eldreth (Aubrey), Colton Ward, Mallory Houck, Ray Shell (Blair), Annastasia Shell, and Kristen Morehead (Wesley); four great-grandchildren, Axton, Ali, and Walker Resendiz, and Conor Morehead; one brother, Letchard Kirby; two sisters, Debbie Greer and Frances Honeycutt; and two sisters-in-law, Marie Kirby and Cindy Kirby.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 2:30 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Smith and Rev. Shane Duncan officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Crisp Family Cemetery in Collettsville.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Calvin Shell, Darian Pilkenton, Quentin Resendiz, Quinton Koontz, Joey Kirby, and Rusty Dellinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Den Brinkley, Allen Tolbert, Gary Greer, and Danny Pope.
