Pansy Virginia Dillard, 95, of Oklahoma passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 following a period of declining health.

Pansy was born on November 3, 1928 in Ashe County to the late Glenn Adkins and Carrie Bare Adkins. Pansy was an excellent cook and homemaker and was known for her chicken pie and cheesecake and would give her pies to many of her doctor's and caregivers as a thank you. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who dearly loved sharing and telling her stories of her lifetime. She could brighten any room with her infectious laugh. Pansy loved traveling with the family across the country in the RV Coach visiting many beautiful places and building memories along the way.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Clyde J. Dillard; sister, Gladys Dillard; and brother, D.L. Wade Adkins.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Larry Dillard and wife Sue Dillard of Ohio; daughter Sandi Marks and husband Mike Marks of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Bridgitte Thurston of Oklahoma, Jeremy Thurston of Oklahoma, and Nathan Dillard of Connecticut; and four great-grandchilden, Savannah Thurston, Sierrah Troxell, Jace Thurston, and Jaylie Thurston of Oklahoma.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.
