Patricia (Patty) Lee Faber passed away February 11, 2025 at the Robbins Center Hospice, as a result of injuries sustained in a fall. Patty was born on August 31, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was married to her devoted husband William for nearly 60 years. Patty and Bill moved to Lenoir in 1983 where she pursued many community passions over the years.
Patty was a school teacher by training, Montessori certified and volunteer extraordinaire. She organized and raised funds to establish the Lenoir Soup Kitchen and served on the board of the Caldwell Arts Council, and was Director of the Education Foundation of Caldwell County.
In addition to Bill, Patty is survived by daughter, Jennifer Faber (James Fisher), sisters Jude Smith (Doug), Mary VanKuiken and sister in law Joan Holmes, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Holmes and Leona Holmes Douthett (Marshall), brothers Michael Holmes and James Holmes, also of Grand Rapids Michigan.
Funeral services are Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11AM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 328-B Woodsway Ln NW, Lenoir where Patty and Bill have been dedicated parishioners for over 40 years. A luncheon will be held in the church fellowship hall following the service. Please come and share memories.
