Patricia Barber Triplett
February 25, 1947- August 15, 2026
Patricia Barber Triplett, 79, of Hudson, NC passed away on August 15, 2026 and entered her heavenly home.
Born on February 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Eloise Barber. She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Aiden Triplett.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Jerry Harold Triplett; her sons, Scott Triplett and his wife Tracie of Granite Falls, NC, and Chris Triplett and his wife Jennifer of Mebane, NC; and her four grandchildren, Lainey, Allie, Carson, and Finn Triplett.
She is also survived by her brothers, Barry Barber and Mark Barber, and her sisters, Cindy Martin and Lynn Bobbitt.
Patricia retired from Bellsouth/AT&T after 32 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and worked with Communities in Schools. A longtime and faithful member of Whitnel United Methodist Church, she served as church treasurer and for many years as a youth counselor, touching the loves of many young people through her guidance and care.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness, commitment to her family and community, and quiet strength leave a lasting legacy.
A funeral service to honor the life of Patricia Triplett will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 2:00PM at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, 2695 Alfred Hartley Rd #7468 Lenoir, NC 28645, with Reverend Tracy Love officiating.
A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital through the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital’s website or to Telephone Pioneers of America directly through their donation portal on their website.
Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
