Patsy Snyder Thomas Fowler, 93 of Brookdale Assisted Living in Lenoir, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Amorem of Hudson surrounded by her loving family.

Patsy was born to the late Dewey L. Snyder and Launa (Abbie) McNabb Snyder on Election Day November 4, 1930 in Caldwell County. She was a graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College and served as the Register of Deeds in Caldwell County from 1968-1987. After her retirement she was the Administrator at Snyder Rest Home, now known as Grandview Villa. Patsy was very active in the churches she attended serving as Choir Director. In her final years, she was a member of Trinity UMC. Patsy was an active member of her community and served many local civic organizations during her life. Patsy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Johnson "Pete" Thomas, Sr.; her second husband, Ralph C. Fowler, Sr.; and brothers, Joe Jack Snyder, Jerry Snyder and Rev. Sam Snyder.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnson Thomas, Jr. and wife Pam, of Lenoir; grandson, Thomas B. Thomas and wife Heather, of Catawba County; granddaughter, Sara K. Thomas, of Madrid, Spain; great-grandsons, J.T. Thomas and Cooper Thomas; brother, Keith Snyder and wife Francis; stepdaughter, Carolyn Fowler Teeters and husband Michael, of Morganton; stepson, Ralph Fowler, Jr., of Granite Falls; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family members who were very dear to her.

A private service will be held by the family with Rev. Walter Lundy officiating.
