Paula Jean Laws Teague, age 78, of Lenoir, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at UNC Health Care Caldwell.

Born on November 3, 1947, in Caldwell County, Paula was the daughter of the late Thomas Rayvaughn Laws and Betty Lee Reid Laws. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Paul Teague; granddaughter, Morgan Taylor Teague; and sister, Ruth Delaine Adams.

Mrs. Teague was a longtime, devoted, and active member of North Lenoir Church of God, where she was deeply loved by her church family. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in serving the Lord and being a blessing to those around her.

Paula's life was a beautiful reflection of her love for her family, her faith in God, and the kindness she showed to others. She was a true woman of God whose love, warmth, and gentle spirit touched the lives of so many. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, Ronald Melvin Teague; one son, Ronald Brian Teague and wife, Mary; one daughter, Karen Jeanine Teague

Vuncannon and significant other, Darrell; one brother, Steve Edward Laws; one sister, Rita Laws Key and significant other, Travis, all of Lenoir; three grandchildren, Ashley Lauren Shook and husband, Travis; Mariah Caroline Teague; and Brylan Robert Teague; and two great-grandchildren, Kinley Grace Waters and Wyatt Tate Shook.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Propst and Rev. Dennis Pitts officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brylan Teague, Travis Shook, Travis Carlton, Darrell McCall, Landon Dillard, and Tony Teague.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
