Mr. Randy Melvin Hollar, age 70, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Amorem Hospice in Hudson.

Born January 8, 1954 in Caldwell County, Randy was a son of the late Richard and Dorothy Hayes Hollar.  Randy enjoyed being outdoors.  He especially enjoyed fishing.  He will be remembered for being a good hearted person.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lynn Bumgarner; his fur baby, Scooter.

Survivors include his children, Richard Hollar (Amanda) and Dorothy Hollar (Rodney); step son, Bryon Black (Breanna); sister in law, Karen Gragg; mother in law, Direne Annas; his grandchildren, Monica Hollar, Katelynn Hollar, Matthew Hollar and Richard Hollar; a step granddaughter, Caroline Black; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A memorial service celebrating Randy's life will be held at a later time.
