Ray Noble Shannon, Jr., age 55, of Morganton passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at his residence. He was born December 15, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio to Mickie Curry Hupp and the late Ray Noble Shannon, Sr. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his son, AJ Shannon/Hallifax.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 36 years, Penny Shannon; two daughters, Star Shannon (Alex) and Elizabeth Shannon/McKenzie (Charlie); his mother, Mickie Curry Hupp; and four grandchildren, Axel, LuLu, Gabriel David, and Dahlia.
