Ray Walter Teague, 75 of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at his home.

Ray was born on August 2, 1948 in Caldwell County to the late Charles Edward Teague and Anne Blaha Teague. He was an amazing husband, father and pawpaw. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting and horseback riding. He was a carpenter by trade and an excellent craftsman. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Teague, Jr. and Stanley Teague.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sarah Puett Teague; daughter, Yvonne Teague Roberts and husband Bruce; grandchildren, Makayla Roberts, Makenzie Roberts and Luke Roberts; sisters, Vicki Whisnant, Alice Clark, and Brenda Holden; and brother, Steven McCallister.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor David Payne officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 1, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.

Interment will follow at the at the church cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Army and the Caldwell County DAV.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Flemings Chapel Baptist Church Building and Grounds Fund at 4430 Littlejohn Church Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645.
