Raymond Darius Key, age 72, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Charles George VA Medical Center. He was born August 19, 1952 in Caldwell County to the late Raymond Victor Key and Mattie Lela Byrd Key. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Burton; and one step-son, Joshua English.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carol Coffey Key; two daughters, Sabrenia Miller (Chris) and Margery Hood (Todd); one brother, Allen Key; one sister, Gail Perkins (Terry); beloved grandchildren, Bryson Key, Macie Miller, Kallie Miller, Xander English, Kalynne English, Joseph Shepard, and Kayla Malone; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, Wiggles.

The family will gather with friends to honor the life of Mr. Key on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Kings Creek Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall, Rev. Randy Goode will be presiding.
