Richard Allen Hickman, age 63, of Hudson, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Richard was born on February 16, 1961 to the late Jacob Ivey Hickman Sr. and Ruby Laney Southard in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Townsend Hickman.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Lola Ann Hickman (Best) and husband Cameron Dwayne Best; son, Jacob Herman Hickman and wife Crystal Nicole Hickman; brothers, Jerry Lynn Hickman and wife Kathy Lynn Hickman, and Dwight Eugene Hickman; grandchildren, Fallyn Tara Best, Jacob Gregory Hickman, and Ava Christina Hickman; nieces, Ashley Dawn Curtis and Kristin LeAnn Parson; nephew, Jerry Lynn Hickman Jr.; great-nieces, Hailey Hicks, Emma Hicks, Leah Parson, Jenna Parson, Hadley Parson; and numerous other loved ones.

Richard was a loving man. He loved his family with all his heart, especially his grandchildren and his brothers. He loved teaching his children how to work on things and fix things, especially if it had wheels. He loved to ride his motorcycle and just enjoyed motorcycles in general. Richard loved wrestling; one of his nicknames was Stone Cold, since he liked Stone Cold Steve Austin. A nickname loving bestowed upon him by family and coworkers was Goon.

A graveside service to honor the life of Richard Hickman will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2pm.
