Mr. Richard Wayne Watson, age 59, of Hudson, North Carolina, was called to his eternal resting place on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Richard was born on April 17, 1965 to the late Worley "Wayne" Watson and Iris Hollar Watson in Catawba County, North Carolina.

He is also preceded in death by his father in law, Roy Haigler and wife Martha Haigler.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Crystal Watson; sons, Richard Wayne Watson II and wife Briana of Hudson and Cody Daniel Watson and wife Michaella of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Carter Lee Watson, Luna Mae Watson, and Tanner Wayne Watson; mother Iris Hollar Watson; and sister, Teela Fisher and husband Gantt of Hudson

Richard will be remembered as a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Richard Wayne Watson will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Concord Baptist Church (74 Falls Ave. Granite Falls, NC 28630) at 2pm with Reverend Vince Hefner officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Lovelady Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
