Mr. Rickie Lee Kirby, age 72, of Lenoir passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Grandview Villa Assisted Living in Lenoir.

Born July 21, 1951 in Caldwell County, Rickie was a son of the late Maynard and Asilee Ferguson Kirby.  Rickie's biggest passion was playing music.  He spent over 20 years playing at local churches during the Christmas season.  He was a member of King's Creek Baptist Church where he was involved with many projects, especially Youth Programs.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Hollar Kirby.

Survivors include a brother, Barry Kirby (wife Mary); also numerous other relatives.

The family will have a memorial service celebrating Rickie's life on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Greer-McElveen Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Goode officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Committee at 4698 Kings Creek Church Road, Lenoir, NC  28645.
