Rita Gail Causby Livingston, age 72, of Hudson, North Carolina passed away in her home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Rita was born on October 24th, 1953 in Caldwell County to the late Ralph and Viola Mae Causby.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Causby, Gary Causby, Bob Causby, and Wayne Causby; and sister, Pat Causby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John "Jack" Livingston; son, Travis Livingston; daughter, Kelly Propst; brothers, Ralph Causby Jr.; Steve Causby, Mark Causby, and Joe Causby; sisters, Mabel Laney, Donna Coffey, Connie Allison, and Joan Sanders; grandchildren, Jordan Willis and husband Jacob, Riley Propst, Gaige Propst, Tyler Livingston, and Jaxson Livingston; great-grandchild, Carter Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita was a devoted mother and Mawmaw.

A funeral service to honor the life of Rita Livingston will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00PM with Reverend Tommy Jones officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM until 2:00PM.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
