Robert Edward Blankenship, age 77, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 in Wilkes County, North Carolina.

Robert was born on May 22, 1948 in Caldwell County, North Carolina to the late Fields and Beatrice Blankenship.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jan Blankenship.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Kelly Blankenship and Billy Joe Greer; brothers, Richard Blankenship, Bruce Blankenship, David Blankenship, and Ray Blankenship (Teresa); sister, Julie Gentry (Robert); step-children, Christy Moser, Alicia Wilkins, Jimmy Moser; and numerous grandchildren.

A graveside service to honor the life of Robert Blankenship will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1:00PM at Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Randy Goode officiating.
